One of my favorite phones of all time has to be the Droid Bionic. It was one of the first LTE devices on Verizon and for the most part it would still remain a decent handset today with its 1GHZ dual core processor, 1GB of ram and 8mp 1080p rear facing camera. I actually had an extended battery with this phone since Verizon sold them at half off for a while. I was generally able to get more than 24 hours out of this phone with tons of screen on time even with the LTE radio. While the bootloader was locked tight, and bootloader unlock never came there was still plenty of development thanks to the Bootstrap which was a 2nd init method of circumventing the bootloader. It allowed you to install any rom you wanted.
If I were using a Droid Bionic today I would definitely check out the latest nightly of CyanogenMod 12! Nightlies were just released for the device, and with them you will be able to update your Bionic to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop years after the OEM has end of lifed the device. Head to the link below for the download.
