First let me start by saying i am currenly using the milestone browser and love it, so much that i have uninstalled the dolphin browser. Is there a way to actually close the stock browser? I usually just go back to the home screen because I have not found the "close" option. As soon as I start the browser it opens exactly where I left off previously.

I just back out or long press on the home key and switch to another app....

Does the same here, I am right back at where I left off when I restart it.

yeah, as soon as whatever the current page you are loading finishes loading, the browser isn't doing anything. closing would just be an extra step, and take more time to re-open.

In Android, apps generally don't have (or need) a close command. The operating system manages application resources automatically. Just pressing the 'back' button until you get to the home screen, or pressing the home button is the normal way to leave the browser.
