City ID

I saw a thread about this the other day but I can't find it again for the life of me.

Anyway, I just noticed today that the city and state has started showing up again whenever I get an incoming call. I haven't done anything to enable the City ID app...I was using the 15 day trial when I first got the phone and opted not to continue the service of course, but never uninstalled the app. And today, it seems to be working again.

I wonder if that's something VZW has enabled from there end or what.

Weird.........I've read mixed info on that app. Some people say thay start the trial and when its over they get prompted to sign up on a regular basis. Others (like you) used it, trial ends, and app starts working again.........who knows why? I gave up on it and froze it with Titanium after I rooted (along with other preloaded apps I didn't care for).

I'm running ApeX now, so no City ID app to worry about here.

im assuming apeX has it removed (its a ROM)
