Change GDE transition animations?

Is there a way to change the transition animations when using GDE? When I select an app, it's as if the app slides on to the screen from the right side. If I'm not using GDE and just the stock home screen, it's as if the app comes from the center of the screen (similar to iphone I think). Is there a way to have the apps come from the center of the screen using GDE?
