Hello all. I've just rooted my Droid X and I'm on 2.3.340. I have Rom Manager installed and I tried through that. I have done this before with my Droid 1 so I am not a total noob. When I try through Rom Manager all it does is reboot. Doesn't go to recovery mode. I then tried the manual mode and tried update.zip.
I got E: Can't open /cache/recovery/command
Then i when i try to apply sdcard:update.zip i get:
Install from SDcard
Finding update package
Opening update package
Verifying update package
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed

Any ideas? I'm trying to get the apex rom to load.

Download Droid X Bootstrapper from the market. You need to go into that, bootstrap recovery then reboot.

From there it will boot you into Clockwork recovery and you should be able to flash from there.
