Can the droid play .Avi?

Hello, first post here and kinda new to the fourms and all.. but was wondering.. if the droid can play AVI files.. if not then is there a converter out there?

Rockplayer handles almost any video file (at least all I've tried). Admittedly, H.264 720p video doesn't play well on a Droid 1, even overclocked to 1 Ghz, but it does play.
