Can I disable the Google reader notifications?

Every time I visit certain websites there is a notification for Google reader on the notification bar. Is there anyway to disable those notifications?

Your using Dolphin, go into the settings and disable RSS notifications....don't you look at app settings before posting?

Sorry for not being aware that Google reader was a form of RSS.
