Can I access Droid's touch tone generation

I am interested in being able to play touch tones through the phone's speakers. I don't want to place a call, just play the touch tones (dtmf). Does anyone know if there is a way to access touch tone generation (if the tones are generated on the Droid) or to acces the touch tone audio files (if the tones are played back from pre-recorded files).

not sure about this but theres probably various color box (black, red, etc..) apps available in the market, but old phreaking methods dont really work anymore, except for the red box i believe.

I would imagine the tones originate from the phone apk since they arent really used for anything else.
