Calendar display question

I was trying to get the calendar to show up differently. I want to put my work schedule on it - basically I work either days or nights, and have it display different colors for different days. I have posted my schedule on my Gmail account, but it still shows grey on my droid.

What app might work for me?

Thanks in advance, I am a new user and I am still trying to figure it all out!!

I created a second gmail account to help with this and shared the second gmail calendar with the first main account you have on your phone.

What that allows is color coordination of events

I have a work schedule and a ref schedule. Now, whenever I open my calendar app on my droid to input which event I'm doing, I have a choice to add it to my main account and have it show up red, or my secondary account and have it show up green.

Truth be told, I don't use that second email AT ALL. Noone knows it, all my email comes through the primary email. All it does is allows me to assign a color to it to differentiate.

I set everything up on a computer.... just easier that way. But now, I don't have to open google calendar at all on my home computer because I have it on my phone. It just takes some time invested at the front end of the project.

You could assign day shift to one gmail and color
and night shift to another color that way.

You don't need to create a second gmail account to do this. Just set up additional calendars under settings. I have several calendars (work, personal, family, events, holidays) all set up with different colors. Works great.

really? I'll have to look into that. I know you can get events and holidays, I even got FSU football schedule, but I didn't realize you could do it all on one.

Now, keep in mind, the google calendar I'm using is through google-corporate, and my work has some privacy settings.

I can view my personal gmail on my corporate gmail, but I can't share my corporate gmail with my personal.

I will look into it though

Thanks!!

OK, I have the Google calendar showing up EXACTLY as I want it, but the Droid calendar just shows plain jane greys. I guess I need a fancier app than the default one. see screen print of computer

jorte calendar is what I use. The stock calendar just shows dates you have something and you have to click it to see what

jorte allows you to put a widget on your homescreen (I use 4x3 monthly view but there are weekly, daily, 4x4 monthly etc) and it shows what is happening on each day. You can then click on it to see the finer detail of the event. Of course the activities are color specific depending on if it's work, personal or ref.

the app is also free

For just a calendar app (that doesn't have widgets associated with it), I've started to really like Touch Calendar. It lets you use multi-touch to zoom in and out of the various views. Events are also color-coded, of course (and based off the colors set on the Google Calender website).
