Hi there,

Is it me or the "built from source" ROMs don't seem as "snappy" as the leaked ones? I don't mean scores, Quadrant and Linpack seem to be in line, but the overall "snappiness" of the UI and operation.

I tried all versions of Froyo BB, original leaked FRF57, Onix (leaked), clean FRF84b and some other "built from source" that I can't even remember the names of - it seems that the ROMs based on leaked binaries are just smoother, there is rarely any "stickiness" when you click a button and nothing happens for a second or two...

Anybody noticed that?

Thanks!
Art

Well, I stand corrected, just reverted back to 0.4 from clean FRF84b, a nightmare, everything got stuck at random times....

Reverted using a backup? If so try reinstalling the ROM right over the clean 84b. Something didnt go right (clean 84b is clocked at 600, V0.4 is clocked at 800) theoretically it would become more snappy. Backups never restore things correctly from my experience with them.

Oh no, 0.4 is close to perfect (occasional slowdowns but nothing major), it was the cleanFRF that was the nightmare

Also, I'm always using the same Chevy1No 1.1 kernel with every rom to keep things comparable
