Bugless Beast Install - Droid Wont Boot

I rooted my Droid today. That went great. I am now trying to install the Bugless Beast Rom.

I followed the instructions exactly as they stated on 34 through 41 and my Droid starts to boot with the Droid screen and the Droid "eye" and does this over and over and over.....

I have to boot into SP recovery to restore it.

What am I missing?

Just so I'm clear. Do you want to install the 2.1 version of BB or the new 2.2 (Froyo). The link you used is an excellent tutorial. I used it when I rooted my phone. It is, however, several months old so the links to files that you download may not be current.

My co-worker installed the 2.1 version on his Droid but I am willing to try 2.2 if you think I should. Is (Froyo) stable?

I have 2.2 on my Droid and it is fine. You should not, however, go by what worked for me.

When you downloaded the files are you sure they successfully downloaded? Did you wipe data and cache?

What is the difference between 2.1 and 2.2?

You should have done it after you created your backup and before you installed the update.zip file

Doing the wipe worked. WooHoo!!

Now I need to overclock and install the Smoked Glass Theme.

From there I will take a break!

2.1 for now! I really like what I saw today on another Droid. I will try the next version soon I'm sure.....
