Broken display. Retrieve sms?

So my lil bro broke his screen... AGAIN. Is there any way to back it up or view it on a pc? his screen is blank. Any help is much appreciated . TIA!

Other than that, the only way to retrieve messages that I can think of is if he used an alternate messaging app that was set up to save them to the sd card. If you're talking about mms pictures, they should be on the sd card. Otherwise it is lost.
