Breaking my eardrum

The in-call volume on my droid doesn't seem to work or, only occasionally.

I tried turning down other volumes that would seem independent, like media and ring but, when people call, I get my eardrum blown away on the lowest in-call volume setting.

Any help for this one?

Also can try a shutdown and battery pull. It sometimes fixes things that you wouldn't think of. Don't know why.....

Thanks guys...

I tried pulling the battery but, to no avail.

I'll try the audio manager but, I have to say, I'm getting really tired of having to download and apply independent apps to make fundamental aspects of the phone work.

I'm not really a happy droid owner. Was first in SW MI as the user name implies. Had high hopes. They've been dashed.

Thanks for the vol up then down tip. I'll try that next time I have an issue.

I downloaded the free version of the sound manager so, we'll see how that goes as well. So far, after the download and adjusting the in-call volume via the ap, it worked.

Thanks be to all....
