I have a new Droid and I want to know how to remove shortcuts from the main screen

Welcome aboard, rochin1949! To remove anything from your home screen, just long press on it and drag it down to the gray tab (the application tray) at the bottom of your screen. When the tab turns red, just drop the shortcut.

As with everything else, the best thing you can do is read, read, and then read some more. Start with the FAQs and then move on to whatever sparks your interest in the threads - you'll be amazed at just how much you can teach yourself! Enjoy your new toy!
