Black Status Bar

Is it possible to change the status bar to black via metamorph (if you are rooted) on the droid2? Or does that require more than has been done so far?

I was able to get a black status bar by using the SenseX theme for the Droid X. But I wasn't able to change the text on the status bar to be white since that required that it be deodexed and trying to that on the Droid 2 using the Droid X instructions and xUltimate just resulted in a boot loop that I had to reflash my phone to get out of. If anybody knows how to deodex a Droid 2 though it could probably be done.

So the bootloader doesn't need to be popped to simply get a reasonable theme on there?
