Outlook != Exchange. Outlook is an email client that supports a number of different mail servers -- Exchange being one of them. Unless the OP specifically mentions Exchange (or it sounds like Exchange is involved from context), I wouldn't assume that the OP is on Exchange.
Since we had webmail via exchange, all I needed to do is go into sync and add, then put all my info in with the address.
Works like a charm. If you guys have webmail set up, just ask you IT guy for the log in info. My IT guy told me I could not access our stuff, but I proved him wrong.
I sync my outlook calendar and contacts with google with sync2. it works great. i use automatic synchronization but it's possible to sync manually.
p.s. it syncs data both ways
