Battery will not charge Droid

Hi All, New to the Droid world. I just wanted to know if anyone has had this problem before. For some reason my Droid will not charge ( brand new unit ) first time charging since the initial charge the night I got it. The plug is fine, the outlet is fine and the phone charges from the PC when I hook it up. Any ideas, should I take out the battery and then pop it back in, or does this seem like a different kind of beast. Any help would be welcome. Take care all.

Found the answer, as usual user error. Two different USB cables and one was bad. All is well in DroidLand...whew!

Mine seem to not recognize the USB cable every time I plug it in.
About 1 out of 6 or 7 times, nothing.
Unplug wait a minute, plug back in usually (notice I said usually) and it works.
On both my Win 7 machine and my Win XP machine.

Thanks for the suggestion, maybe that's what happened and it's not that one is just bad. Will use the same USB that I had the problem with and see if suddenly charges, then I'll know. Thanks again.
