Battery saving mode???

I was playing with the settings in the browser and at the bottom is an option to "enable battery saving mode" I tried to Google what it actually does or if there's really a benefit of having it checked or not. Does anyone else know anything about this??

I believe that when the screen times out the browser closes any data connection it has...
Not 100% sure, but seems I read that sometime.

It seems like there's not alot of info on it even the Google search didn't turn up anything specifically linked to the browser.

I believe it is for when your battery is under 20% or less then your data and GPS shut off so your battery can be saved.

That makes sense but the option for it is in the internet browser not main settings of the phone. I've tried it checked and unchecked and I can't seem to see a difference.

I have it there too. Your screen uses alot of the battery so it will shut the screen when your battery when the battery reaches a certain point.

It also dims the screen a bit. You can actually see the screen brighten for a split second when you exit the browser with that mode on. I thought something was wrong with the display until I found that setting
