basic question re: micro sdcard

I'm not very smartphone-savvy, so excuse this question in advance, but: what is the deal with micro sdcard? Is that something that was installed on the phone? Was it something that was supposed to come with the phone? Is it something I have to buy separately? I'm trying to download a picture from an email to my HTC Incredible, and it says "SD card needed." What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Some got them, Some did not. It depends if you ordered during the free sdcard promotion.

You can pick them up pretty cheap.

depends on what size if you just want a few pics and a couple songs get a 2g like prolly 5 bucks

I retract my previous question (seeing several SD cards on verizon.com), but I am wondering which card is recommended.

How much storage do you need? Photos, Music, etc. I have an 8gb sd card installed on my INC and plenty of space left. 8gb sd cards can be had for relatively cheap. I've seen 8gb Sandisk for around $10. on Amazon, that's what I Have a (Sandisk.) If you can afford more go for it, if not 16gb is still a lot of space on a phone, depending on your needs. You can't have enough memory.

I believe the 2GB SD card still comes with the phone, if you didnt receive it i would call and ask about it.

2GB isnt really anything though so i would recommend buying a 16GB.

Yea, the 2gb isn't much but if you're stuck it's better than nothing. I got one with my phone but don't use it, at least they included it. Definitely make a call. This phone really needs the extra storage space to perform up to it's potential.

Thanks for all the replies. Any advice on brands? I've seen a few 16GB ones on Amazon for under $30. Are they all going to be compatible with the Incredible?
