baseband performance

has anyone noticed how the leaked basebands perform?

i have 2 incs bought at the same time. one is pure stock (wife's) and the other is rooted on skyraider 2.5.2

in my house at a very specific spot, i had both of them on the table side by side. i repeated this test several times today just to be certain. battery, on power cable, swapped left to right, etc...

stock with baseband 1.00. registered at -82db to -88db and displays only 1 bar of signal.

skyraider 2.5.2 with baseband 2.15 registered at -94db to -97db and displays 2 bars of signal.

this is highly disappointing performance just to gain 720p video and a new boot animation?

i should've tested with baseband 2.05 before jumping to 2.15.

thoughts? is there a way to go back to 2.05?

If you have s-off you can use a PB31IMG of the 2.05 radio and flash that way. If not you have to down grade and trick the hboot. Then flash the stock PB31img or RUU, then upgrade back to the 2.05. This where that s-off is some nice.

2.15 radio. Rename to PB31IMG.zip reboot into hboot and let phone do the rest. Do not touch the device until it asks you if you want to reboot.
