Barcode Scanner as Input

Hello, I did search on Google and the forum before posting this.

I have Barcode Scanner installed and I was wondering if there is an app that allows for this to be an Input Method (as accessed when long pressing on a text field) instead of android keyboard. I am cataloging DVDs and would like to be able to use this to scan UPC's instead of typing each in. Or scanning and copying & pasting the results.

And/or if there is a way to use it in much the same way as the peripheral USB scanners available (e.g. CueCat). I have USB Mount.

The softkeyboard ' Macro Keyboad' let you scan a QR code or code bar instead of typing it when you long press the shift key.

Its available on the Android Market
