back to stock and SD card problem

hey guys...my phone was working great till last night.. i have the leaked 2.2 on it...i dropped it last night and the sd card keeps saying "blank or incorrect format" but when i try to format it, it doesnt do any thing. i checked it with my card reader and its not blank. does anyone here know if sbf back to stock will fix it??

also if i go ahead and sbf back to stock, at what point to i need to root? Before i download the ota right? or will it matter?

..and now i cant get rsd lite to see my phone...what the hell..

edit..ooooo k... i got it to connect, and a flashed it back to stock, but it didnt actaully DO anything!!! the boot screen is still modded, the theme is still there...i dont get it. it went through the boot loader process on the phone and everything..
