Sorry to report this but that case is already worn out at all corners after 3 weeks with pieces of imitation leatherette sticking out. I ripped some chunks and painted over but still it looks bad. But it sure looked pretty brand new!

We are talking about micrometric plastic imitation leather mounted on grey fabric here. How can they call this a leather case?!

For the doubters i work at a desk with paper only, pull phone out of the pouch 5-10 times per day as i get all my calls through a BT headset.

I will keep the case until i shred it, as apart from looking fugly it sits in a Luxmo belt loop pouch most of the day, and the impact protection is still there.

I would have gotten a cheapo ebay plastic shell instead had i known about the poor quality of the material.

i wonder if you had a bad case. i've had mine since launch and it still looks like new. i would take it back to verizon for a refund or exchange.

Don't feel too bad.

I got the Droid 1 on launch day, and got the VZW "Leather" case to go along with it. A week later, the "pleather" was delaminating from the cardboard (yes, cardboard) material that the case was made of. The VZW folks seemed SURPRISED that I was demanding a refund.

I bought the "Body Glove" case and so far quite pleased.
It adds some size to the phone but at least it Really Protects it. I didn't want to spend the bucks but it was well worth it.
I wasted 19.99 on the VZW silicone case the day I purchased the phone.

Wow that does suck. I've had same case for couple weeks now with no problems and i carry my phone in pocket an constantly taking it out with no problems but i am waiting to see what otterbox comes out with.

I have the same one no problems like that at all. If u got it from VZ I would exchange it

as mentioned you should return it for a replacement.

Does anyone know whether this case will fit in the car dock? I've heard that the snap-on cases will fit when you remove the dock liner but I'm not sure about this kickstand.
