So everyone was all over the wallpaper app issue that came up during blackhat. Which you could really blame on the user... But I have not seen anything regarding the talk given at defcon about how you can circumvent the need for asking for permissions. http://defcon.org/html/defcon-18/dc-18-speakers.html#Lineberry
They gave a demo of an app doing 2 way network comunications with an app that requested no permissions on install. Why has this not gotten picked up?
Also note that there really was nothing revolutionary about the rootkit talk because it wazs a basic linux rootkit.
