is there a way to see what is using my internal phone memory? Our maybe an app that would let me? It just seems I keep running low on space with no texts saved and I only have a decent amount of apps. I am running rooted with the newest froyo but I had this issue before I rooted too. Any suggestions?

Systempanel does this very well. Tells you active apps using memory, and also shows internal system processes

Thanks. I will have to try it out. I'm tired of getting alerts for low memory.

Low system memory or low storage memory?

I usually have to delete all texts and extra apps just to keep it around 28mb for the phones internal memory or I get the icon and alert for low memory. I even get the alert for texts being full and I have none on the phone.

System Panel (recommended above) will help you see what's going on in your phone. It also sounds as if you have apps that are dragging a lot of data and cache into memory when they run.

To deal with that, try the app below. Will cost you about a buck and it's well worth it.

Quick App Clean Cache - Android app on AppBrain

P.S. My guess is that it's your email app.
