Anyway to change the names of apps on homescrean?

Just wondering if I could change the names in the little bubbles on the icons on the home screen.

I'd like handcent to just say SMS and dolphin HD to just say browser

Is this possible?

not that i know of but certain home screens can remove all of those ike Freedhome and Launcher Pro

Nope no way to change the names of the apps on the home screen as far as i know.

FolderOrganizer will let you do this.

I think BetterCut does, too.

FolderOrganizer has this option, is free, and easy. You can't completely remove names (there will always be that bubble) but anything else is possible.

Great, thanks guys. I just want the names kind of cropped. I have a little OCD about names not fitting in the bubbles.

I just wanted to change crap like "Dolphi-" to "Browser"

Ok I change the name but in the main menu and the home screen, it stays the way it was.

BetterCut is great

+1 for bettercut. You CAN change the names with it. You can even change icons if you so desire.

long press on your screen, the select widgets, then select "FolderOrganizer Item" then select "Apps" then select the App you want. when it appears on your scren it will have whatever new name or icon you used FolderOrganizer to change it to.

Take off the one you have on your home screen and them put it back on the home screem after that you should have the one with the new name..

Take off the one you have on your home screen and them put it back on the home screem after that you should have the one with the new name..
