Any reason to get a different DROID phone over the DROID X ???

I'd get the Droid X. Much better design. I have a Droid for a year now and I'd exchange it in a heart beat.

I had a D1 and it was an amazing phone, but to me it cannot compare to the DX. The X is just a more superior phone in many ways. Definitly worth the upgrade and do not regret it one bit.

You sir have left out the Samsung Fascinate...i recently swapped my DX out for a Fascinate...and i am glad...this thing is amazing.

Depends on what you want. Droid X is big. The HTC phones are more compact. What size is best for you. The OS is the same in all the Android phones.

The HTC INC is a very good phone...my mom works for VZW and has one...it is 3.7" the DX is pretty snappy as well, comes in at 4.3", but the best screen/gpu/processor is in the Fascinate...4.0"

Also if battery life makes a difference out of all the droids the X gets the beat results and the incredible gets one of the worse.

I used to have the Droid 1, I recently upgraded to the Droid X. The original Droid was a pioneer but the X takes it to another level. The screen is great. It is a large phone. Offers 720p video recording. I like it because I have large hands and it fits perfectly. The Droid Incredible offers similar qualities with a smaller screen. The both have different UIs running over the Android operating system. The Incredible is running the latest, Froyo 2.2. I have a leaked version on my X, so you get have that as well. I would go into the Verizon store and try them both out. If you have larger hands, I would get the X. If not it is still a toss up.

I guess the Fascinate is just too new for most on this forum...hit up xda forums and you can see some testimonials...the best hardware in all aspects is to the Fascinate...aside from screen size...X is alil bit bigger...but the Super AMOLED is amazing on the Fascinate.

Go with something with a keyboard.
There are too many apps, that you might just want, where the on screen
keyboard takes up too much room or is too sluggish (such as gaming).

Hell, even simple things like adding in new contacts or calendar appointments
is a pain with just the on screen keyboard. Sliding out the keyboard lets
you see things much better.

Further, you can type far faster and easier if you like to text msg or blog
a lot with a separate keyboard.

Lastly, the built in Dpad the keyboards have is indispensable in my mind.
