Any answers to this freak problem?

Today at work I reached in pocket and my phone was dead. I tried turning it on. Tried holding down power button. Nothing....wouldn't respond. And it had 70% battery on it. So I just thought I may have left it on and it died because I was busy. Well about a hour ago I pull it out to charge it. And the notification light is blinking. It was powered on and still had about 60% of the battery. Weird.....or did it do something and power off and on. I am rooted with liberty!!

I dont know if its the same thing, but "occasionally" when i was running Liberty v1.0 and Launcher Pro Plus, my X would do a little thing where it would reboot itself...most of the time it was when the phone was switching from Landscape Mode back to Portrait Mode...other times was when I was pulling it out of my pocket.

I swapped to Liberty v1.5 and I havent had a random reboot since...so I dont know if v1.0 was my problem, or if there was a glitch in LPP that was setting it off.

Either way, you may want to take a look at this thread---> Reboot or freeze up issues, over in the Liberty ROM Forum...

I am not running liberty but it seems that i do get some of those lock ups and reboots.... i just went to Darkslide today so i haven't had a chance to see anything with it......

this is always happening to me. at least twice a week my turns off and wont turn back on till it wants to. it also freezes a lot and i have to take the battery out to reset it. totaly b.s.

Which kernel do you have have you flashed the newest full sbf bedside it sounds like you are on the 2.3.320 leaked kernel and not the 2.3.340 kernel?

I was on 2.3.340. Ive had liberty 1.5 for about a week. I just looked and it says im on android version 2.2.1 now.

OH....and it just rebooted in fron of my face. It took it a few minutes to do anything. And all of this just started happening today!!!

Did you go check out that thread I linked you to above? There is a known issue for some in Liberty v1.5, and Kejar posted a possible fix that has seemed to help a great majority of the people having reboot issues...

it seems like u thought ur phone was dead but it wasnt. it was actually frozen. u didnt pull out ur battery and put it back in right?
