Android overtakes iPhone in several Midwest states

I assume android phones will surpass Iphone by the end of the year. I was also suprised at the ratio (56% male to 44% female) for droid owners... got my wife one last week and at first she thought it was too big, but now I cant rip it out of her hands....:icon_ banana:

Of course Android is going to be used more often in South Dakota. We don't even have AT&T here (yet). Most people I know have never even seen an iPhone. I suspect the same is true for some of our neighbor states.

let's compare the population of these midwest states to that of California, New York, and other major metropolitan cities then we'll see how little it means

It's still a representative sample is it not?

Yes this is a sample, but samples can easily be misleading or just completely opposite from true data. As one person has already pointed out.. AT&T doesn't even have coverage in those states much, so by default the iphone cannot be there.
