If you aren't all about flashing a stock image and returning your device to factory settings and are already running The Android M Developer Preview on your device all you really need is an OTA.zip for sideloading. The official OTA update will be available for the Nexus 6 and other Nexus devices soon, but if you want the update now the ota has been pulled and has been uploaded to the interwebs. Just boot into stock recovery on your Nexus 6 and type the command "adb sideload (filename)" to flash the ota manually to your device. Alternatively you could apply the update with a toolkit like the wugfresh root toolkit.
