Almost ready to get the Droid Pro

My wife and I are due for our phone upgrade and are very close on taking advantage of the buy one get one free Verizon is offering. I'm going to convert from my blackberry and this will be my wife's first smart phone. My question is does anyone know if the phones ship with the Gingerbread update now or will we have to do update the OS after receiving them?

They will not ship with Gingerbread because the update is not official yet.

I'm sure it won't come with GB. You may want to hold off a bit if you can, to see if family share data actually happens.

To get gingerbread, you will have to manually install the OTA .zip that has been pulled for the update. The process is extremely straightforward so you shouldn't have any issues and even if you do, there's a great community that is more than willing to help. Feel free to pm me if you need some help.
