It finally happened today! Autoprime along with several other developers released root for most variants of the LG G4. For now the "Low Effort" root method will root the TMo/VZW/ATT/Sprint and International (H815 10c only). Support for other international variants will also come soon. This method is kind of complicated (not really but kind of). It basically requires you to be able to read directions thoroughly. This method can and will HARD BRICK your device if you are not paying attention and flash the wrong thing.

Please read the whole directions here carefully. If you miss a step, or you copy the wrong command and run it, your phone will be BRICKED. You will have flashed a partition to some random place on your phone's internal SD, and no amount of sad private messages will be able to help you.
I'm 100% serious, if you do this wrong, you will turn your phone into a paperweight - so please don't go rooting your mom/dad's phone with this method. Wait for something better from us.

The process is actually pretty simple if you aren't afraid of flashing files or punching in commands. Once rooted you will want to disable updates as any update that comes will patch the root method. Autoprime had mentioned that there were originally plans to release this as an app, but time constraints prevented this from happening. Maybe an app will come eventually. Head to the link below for full instructions and download links.
