Just out of curiosity I installed ADW EX to see what the hype was, it ran smooth for quite awhile during the day, but this morning my phone was very sluggish. thought maybe it was the colorize widget (to take the place of LP calendar widget) I installed just before I fell asleep, so I un-installed that this morning and rebooted. Its running smooth again, but Im sure this is from the reboot? I was just wondering if anyone is running ADW EX, and if you are having any issues?

No i don't. I have noticed however with a few other widgets ive tried, that it seemed to slow things down.

I would say run for a day without the widget, if it runs fine....most likely the widget not playing nice with EX

OK someone explain the benefits of ADW EX.. I am using LP right now and I have used ADW. I like them both and they both have different features the other does not. However, I can make an ADW theme (or just find one in the market) and I can't do that with LP. Especially being a themer, I hate making it a pain in the .... for people trying to get their icons and dockbar setup with LP to match the theme. Whereas with ADW, it's just a simple install.

OK, I think I went off track here.... my point is... someone sell me on ADW EX over LP for everyday use

And, as far as the calendar goes, I use PureGridCalendar and it works fine on LP or ADW.

This was basically my question as well, so I decided to just find out, so far I'm only finding one, the fancy transition are kinda cool! I hate the fact that I cant really change my dock with out having to download a theme and I miss the extra built in widgets! Maybe we can get Fede to add some transitions!!! I'm sure Ill be back with LP by the end of today lol!! dancedroid

You get multiple app drawers, screen transitions, app drawer transitions, built in themeing, built in ability to change any icon on your desktop, changing icon and icon text size, some fancy icon backgrounds, and the hidden dock bar. This is just Ex vs lpp, as adw (I think) has some of these too.

Now, lpp has it's merrits too. I just can't use it b/c of the instability and it (imo) just not being as smooth. I can't wait to try the rewrite though. Hope that changes things for it.

Like xscape, I've been using lpp for quite a while, and really like it. But I decided to check out adw ex to see what the buzz was about. Only been a couple days but I do miss not having the multiple scrolling docks. I do like bgill's Linear theme on adw, tho. But I haven't been able to figure out how to change the app icons. Given what Tank says, it appears i need to do some more playing with it and figure it out. I really miss not having text icons like in lpp ...

The hidden dock scrolls with as many icons you want ,I too miss text icons! But ex has been extremely smooth for me. It was tough to change from lp but glad I did now.

I figured I was missing something (when in doubt I need to assume I'm an idiot)..
Thanks for the tip!
