Advance task cleaner or Killer

What do you guys and gals think about these? Do they help you phone maintain speed?

they are not needed, the phone manages background tasks just fine by itself. I do however keep Advanced task killer installed just in case i want to kill a program quickly. Let your phone do what it has to do, it will run fine without one.
