Adobe AIR -- worth the 16.5 MB?

Has anyone installed Adobe AIR yet? What does it do? Is it just for games? If not, what else is it for? I am trying to determine if I should devote a sizeable chunk of my Droid's phone space for this, since it can't go on SD.

I found a cool lander game, but had to uninstall Adobe AIR because the little symbol was telling me I'm running out of memory(Droid 1). I will re-install once they allow it go on the SD card.

I was able to move it (UD 8.0) but the majority of it still ended up residing in the device memory. Only a small portion moved to the SD card. I honestly didn't see where it was worth it at this point. Especially considering it won't run current desktop AIR apps.
