Adding a rom to droid 2.2

I just rooted my droid using rsd lite and went fine now i downloaded the CM6 rom and put it on root of sd card and renamed wiped data and cache but when i try and install up date it says
E:cant open /sdcard/update.zip
(no such file or directiory)
installation aborted.
please help not sure what im doing wrong any advice would be great..

Make sure that when you renamed the file to update.zip that there is only one ".zip" extensions and make sure that you placed the update.zip on the root of your SD card an not into a folder.
