add recorded sound to playlist

I want to know how I can add my sounds I recorded using the sound recorder app to my playlist. The recorded sound is a .3gpp file. I understand that after I record a sound it makes a playlist folder so I can listen to the files. I had to wipe the data and cache and lost my recorded sounds folder. I still have the recorded files but I can not add them to the default player and make a playlist. Does anyone know how I can add my recorded sounds to the player?

i found a work around. i changed the file extension and mime type.
