I have a file that only appears in the download directory when posting to a forum or such. Its in the top download selection menu. I have used search programs like sd maid and it cand fint the file. It must be in the emulated directory but not accessible. Dont really want to root the phone. Is there a way or program to access the file.

Hello welcome to the forum ...most likely just a sub folder created by the app...you can try any file explorer to drill into folder most likely no information there that will be useful for you ..

no file explorer can find it. There is an emulator directory that stores stuff that we cant get at. An app did not create it, its a pdf I downloaded

I'm just curious, if no file explorer app can "find it" how do you know the file still exists on your phone?

Here is the area where the file is located for an upload. It cant be seen in the download directory on the phone or using a file explorer. Only in this area.
