Sorry if these have already been covered. I tried a search and didn't see what I was looking for.

I'm running Lithium with the Red Glass theme. It's awesome. I can't figure out how to change the User Agent (Android-Desktop-iPhone-IE6) in the stock browser. I also can't figure out how to hide the zoom buttons.

I'm pretty new to all of this and not so smart, so please explain slowly, and in small words.

I don't believe that you can change the User Agent with the native Browser, unlike you're able to do with Dolphin for example.

*I could be wrong.

but use dolphin hd or xscope instead so you can have tabs and so that the user agent setting will stick

Just download xscope and save yourself the headaches. Best browser out there.

I have every browser I can find installed. xScope is good too but a couple things peeve me. Is the paid version of xScope much better? What don't you like about Dolphin HD?

Opera mini is cool because it doesn't use the webkit rendering engine. I think it might be the only browser that doesn't. (Skyfire?) Anyway, it's cool because when things don't work right in the other browsers, you can try opera and lotsa times it'll work...like file uploads which have worked in opera for months. Plus, OPERA IS BLAZING FAST

I've used every browser out there and nothing compares in my opinion. The paid version of xscope is certainly better than the regular version. I guess it depends on preference really. Some people love dolphin, some people love xscope. I've just always had better results with the latter.

I've been having problems with Dolphin, which is why I was using the stock browser. For whatever reason, Dolphin isn't reformatting the page when I zoom in or out, and the stock browser does. I'll give xscope a try tomorrow.

I like Dolphin HD but had to stop using it. Not sure why but it got to the point where I would click on a link or bookmark and the browser would hang for a good thirty seconds or more before even attempting connect and fetch my pages, then they loaded super slow.

While the stock browser may be lacking in the ability to customize it, it does what its supposed to do in fast order and thats whats most important :-/

Now....if Google would please fix the streaming video problem, I would be ever so happy ;-)

After zooming, double tap the screen and dolphin hd will relayout.

True, if the stock browser had tabs and a persistent user agent, it would be pretty much perfect.
