$86,000?? I need one of these

31mi range, with 30 minute light capability ... getting there. But I'll stick with the Bell 407 right now muhehehehe ....

Man, lot of noise and how off the ground does it take you. I don't know I've been looking forward to these things since the 1960 but I envisioned something more along the lines of a backpack type of gizmo, not a huge machine.

Getting there though.

Also where are the flying cars like on the Jetsons?

So it took us years and all the failures to get aluminum and composite (which protects the passenger) to fly safely, but you want a jet pack. What you gonna do if the engine stalls out or a bird gets ingested.. I prefer something that at least my have the chance of auto rotating.
86,000 for that...ill pass.

I like it, still too bulky for a jetpack, not that I wouldnt take one, but I think you will see this on the market first:

Yeah I would feel safer in that.....plus it would be cool until every one gets one.....then we will have traffic in the sky. People getting angry.....texting and flying. Cutting you off to get to mcds.
As humans we can not even master the art of driving with out killing ourselves but you wanna put every nut in the air. Feel bad for the birds.......more road.........airkill.

There ya go Charles, you can start off the trend by being the first to offer jetpack/flying car lessons :)

I would rather be the person who decides if an individual should get a license or not. My first thought, given the individuals driving record do I want to be in the air with him/her....... uhhh you failed yeah...with all the citations you have you should not even be allowed to drive.

But then a judge will overturn my decision and make it every ones legal right to drive. And at that point the skies will no longer be safe.

Just saying....

This is as close as I'll ever get. That's me on my Seagull IIIZ-19 back in 1979. I was 18 and bought it when I was 16. My parents wouldn't let me have a motorcycle cause it was too dangerous, but they helped me pay for my hang glider.
