800mhz OC simply not working?

Ok, so I'm following all the steps as outlined on this post:
*release* Overclocking Motorola Droid 800mhz, 900mhz, 950mhz, 1Ghz, 1.1Ghz and 1.3Ghz

I'm attempting to get an 800mhz OC.

Here's exactly what I've done in perfect order:

Get phone (comes with stock 2.0.1 ROM)

Update using rooted V2.1 STOCK.

Redownload Rom Manager and use it to Flash SPRECOVERY 0.99.3b using it.

Go into SPRecovery, and follow steps outlined in thread listed above.

Reboot phone, get stuck at M logo.

What am I doing wrong? Do I need a custom ROM or something?

Did u know how much battery life your phone had before u did this? Try plugging it up, wait a lil while and try again.

I have full charge...and I am using the wall charger.

Stuck at M anyways.

The post your reference is dated 1/26/2010. That file has to be a 2.0.1 version unless the post was updated when 2.1 rolled out. Me thinks you have a conflict. If you did a nandroid backup before doing the advanced nanadroid restore mentioned, restore it so you're back to 2.1.

This will give you a rooted 2.1 Update1. Then grab a kernel that gives overclocking and install it.

I'm already rooted to 2.1 Update1.

That thread is for Stock 2.1 as the thread title seems to say?

Not to mention on my previously bricked phone I reversed my phone to 2.0.1 and followed the steps listed after rooting up to 2.1 again and still had the same issue.

those kernels are sooooooooooooooo old and wont work with 2.1.

Nevermind, I read the thread and saw which to go with.

Also one more question to throw in as I see you have both Cyanogen and SD ROM's, could you happen to toss me a link to some SS's of both if you have any handy?

it will look abit different soon, im currently working on a theme with woodyman(dev of SD)
also those are differnt icons.
