You will lose root just as any other ota but TBH has already rooted it and its in his app. I'm running it now. First things first, the radio is an immense improvement. It actually feels solid now and although I haven't tested it myself, I read from another poster elsewhere that memory management has improved as well. I have had no intermittent 3g thus far and I'm actually really loving this build. It doesn't feel flaky anymore.

However. Read this carefully.

YOU MUST BE ON A .340 ROM TO INSTALL P3DROIDS AIO .602 BUILD. HERE ARE THE STEPS

  1. BE ROOTED ON A .340 ROM
  2. REBOOT INTO RECOVERY
  3. THIS ORDER IS IMPORTANT. FOLLOW TO A T!!!!

  • FORMAT SYSTEM UNDER MOUNTS
  • FORMAT DATA
  • FORMAT CACHE
  • MOUNT SYSTEM MANUALLY

4. INSTALL LIKE ANY OTHER ROM. PLEASE REMEMBER. YOU MUST!!!! I MEAN MUST!!!! BE ON 340 FOR THE RADIO INSTALL TO WORK. THE RADIO INSTALL TO WORK!!!!!

I thought this thread was discussing the official OTA update that started being able to be pulled about 100 mins ago. I have pulled it camera seems fixed. Hard key lights have yet to stay on when I suspend it. AND THEY STAY ON IN THE GOD DAMN ALARMCLOCK STILL MOTOROLA COMMON! (Edit: wait I can still suspend the screen and black out the screen and keys now on the alarmclock dock I spoke too soon) Overall seems like an improvement thus far will have to keep poking at it... just wish it wasn't a blnding nightlight as an alarmclock never was under froyo.

.602 is the official build. P3droid had a leak before it was released OTA. I was also restating the procedure to install the leak before 20 people say "this build is crap, doesn't work" etc. Its all about the directions....

I'm running lgb 2.6. Do I have the .340 and can I use p3's update to update my phone?

im on .596 and its failing, i dont understand why it would since this is the last update im also rooted, i dont get why we have to go to froyo to be able to update

Just woke up and checked my phone, and .602 was available to download. It just finished installing, and the phone is working great. I'll play with it more when I get to work, but the install was smooth with no problems.

I don't know exactly why it doesn't work for 596 other than I believe it's incompatible due to the way the rooted 596 kept root. p3droid had to rewrite the script to make this one keep root too instead of us being able to root afterwards. All I know is that he specifically said that it absolutely will not work on 596 so theres no point in trying.

However, I did read you should be able to restore a .596 data backup over top the .602 base.

Question about this part; does doing all this basically wipe the phone of all user data? ie. having to set the phone up again.
