Coming over from an OG rooted Droid I am completely thrilled with the Bionic. I personally love the display, especially being able to see it outside. The battery life in the beginning was pretty bad, but after a few charges it's lasting longer and getting about the same amount of time as my OG...
There is an problem when apps get installed onto the SD card, if you go into settings --> applications --> manage applications --> media area tab, any apps that are checked need to be moved onto the phone. If you click on the app, select "move to phone" will do the trick.
I agree with Dave, anything new will take time to get better. Having worked with computers almost all my life I have seen a lot of this, you grow to have patience with new technology.

My second post shows how it should be done. But here is the info: As long as you had it set to backup when you first signed it, it should sync automatically. To check if it is, go to settings, privacy settings. If you have a checkbox for "Back up my data" then you are set.

When you first purchased the Bionic, it asked if you wanted to backup your phone (cloud service I believe). So once you signed into your account with the new phone it automatically started the sync to restore how you had your original Bionic.
Mine took a few charges (go from 100% to where the phone shuts off) to fully get a good reading, after a week I've been able to get a full days use (6am till 11pm of light to medium use) and still have 10-20% left.
