CM 7.0.2 to Winner 7.0.2
I went from Winner's bld 51 (with Primes deprimed 19) to Stable 7.0.2 WITHOUT wiping and it went without a single problem. It replaced Prime's kernel with the one imbedded in Stable without any apparent problems. Compcache is still there.
With my positive example in...
7.02 to winners 7.01
Are you sure you want to do that? Winner's latest build (as of 452pm EDT) is based on 7.0.1 and, supposedly, CM 7.0.2 corrects a couple of mistakes in 7.0.1.
Also, Winner indicated that he would be cooking up a 7.0.2 version of his build later today.
Let me see if I have this straight. If I flash (wiping, formatting boot/system/etc.) your latest build (41 from 2 days ago) plus the latest gapps (0307), reboot, then flash Prime's latest deprimed kernel....I should get working 3g (almost no lag; okay, maybe 1-2 seconds), working...
wifi and build 41
I was having FCs and reboots with build 41 and gapps (20110307 version) so I flashed one of Chevy1's LV kernels (sorry, don't have link but you can find it on droidforums). So far, no FC's, no reboots, compcache does NOT work but wifi does work.
Deprimed the culprit?
I was using Prime's deprimed kernel on Winner's earlier builds but am just using the stock kernel that comes with Winner's build 39 and am not having any of these new problems. It's not absolute proof but it sure seems too coincidental that deprimed and 39 don't work...
build 40 posting
Looks like a new build 40 just posted (around 4pm today). Does this contain the corrected fixes and will this be the build upon which Winner will work his version?
Getting the 3g fix is critical but not at the expense of the other problems that a lot of people had (no wifi...
status bar and adw
Just flashed Winner's CM7 final and had the same problem with FC's, etc. Flashed Prime's latest deprimed kernel and all seems to be working well. Problem may be in stock kernel with CM7 and the last few builds.
Winner 29 problem
I've not had any problems with boot looping with earlier builds but, with Winner's build 29, it went into continuous boot looping. Pulled battery and re-booted - same problem. Flashed deprimed build 13 and problem went away.
Not absolute proof but it sure indicates there is...
I downloaded the file: update-cm-7.0.0-RC2-Droid-winner00-signed-22.zip and installed using ROM Manager.
Settings - About Phone reports Mod Version = CyanogenMod-7.0.0-RC2-Droid-winner00.
Doesn't say #22. And I don't see any new option in Performance settings.
I tried it...
lockscreen time display problem
I've been running PE 5 and 5.01 without any problems, redraws, etc. but, after I flashed 5.02, the time display on my lockscreen is slightly messed up. I have time set for 24 hour mode and it displays the time correctly but ADDS the PM indicator, e.g., 3:05 pm...
You don't need to do this as it's included in the base ROM. If that file is not in /data/ folder, something didn't install correctly. AFTER flashing, you should find a file "06homescreen" in /etc/init.d/ This adds the command.
I'm running ADW EX and I haven't had any...
