Google's CEO Larry Page Believes Steve Jobs' Android Hate was just 'for show.'

You edit my comment and yet post a direct quote from it in your own? How does that make sense? Why can you quote it but I can't have it in my post? Furthermore, the way people around here can't stand "haters" is ridiculously ignorant. I have been giving specific examples as criticisms. The...

Google's CEO Larry Page Believes Steve Jobs' Android Hate was just 'for show.'

    > That's not the topic... This thread is about Page's reaction to Jobs' threat. I say Page is too nice and Jobs is a slimeball. I'd say I'm on topic. > apple has jailbreak. Apple doesn't want you to jailbreak though...to bypass iTunes, to install what you like. The defense of Apple on this...

People that agree with you probably enjoy iPhones. Who cares? Can we get back on topic? Jobs: slimeball yes or no?

The world without free criticism is impotent. Only the stupid/insecure bleat "haters gonna hate." You get over yourself. Why don't you stop attacking me and start defending Jobs and Apple instead? Apple is a big sham. Jobs became shameful. Argue it or deflect.

Bloatware, one thing to fight on Android. Comparatively, Apple products were designed in Mt. Doom. THROW IT BACK IN THE FIRE, iphone users. I'm not sure what carriers bending over to get the popular phone has to do with this other than to show just how high Jobs' BS train climbed.

Steve Jobs was unaivailable for comment. Seriously though, Jobs declared war against a force of more freedom (Android) while Apple's platform awed us with it's LAUGHABLE level of UNsophistication and COMMITTED LACK of openness, etc., etc. Jobs sold out. An amazing rollercoaster ride of...

    HDMI Out locked down???

Yes, officially I am not condoning copyright infringement. Bittorrent is very convenient and free, but it is up to the end user to decide how to use it. There are public domain movies, songs, etc. available and those are fine for anyone to download. If you want to download HBO stuff it is easy...

Connect Droid 3 to Monitor, TV or Projector

Thanks for the info about the Droid X. I was thinking it should work on a basic level though. For example, it should be able to display the home screen over hdmi without unlocking, no? It is time for a Droid 3 update, but I'm very happy with it overall. The GPS gets wonky sometimes. I've had...

    HDMI Out locked down???

Right, just bypass the hobbled HBO app entirely and get the shows from an alternative source. Many people use newsgroups. I have been partial to bittorrent lately. Just download a bittorrent client. aDownloader works well and is free. In aDownloader do a search for the media that you want. Use...

    Pictures/videos always flipped?

Just noticed this happened with the FFC yesterday. What a silly bug.

    HDMI Out locked down???

The funny thing is that putting up obstacles like this is just forcing people to find workarounds. I like using aDownloader, free from the market. Paired with MX Video Player or BSPlayer lite, I get everything free and it works over hdmi.

Connect Droid 3 to Monitor, TV or Projector

My girlfriend's Droid X hdmi out has never worked. My suggestion is to go for a factory reset. If it still doesn't work get a like new replacement. I love using the hdmi out on my Droid 3 and it works every time no problem. I'm not bragging, I'm just saying it can and should work fine.

New study indicates that ads in apps cause 70% of battery drain

And meanwhile the app is uploading your contact list, your current location, who knows what to an ad server so they can sell your info. This type of stuff is a disgrace. I see the light at the end of the tunnel and Richard Stallman is basically it. Enough wasted energy already. Let's get down to...

New study indicates that ads in apps cause 70% of battery drain

How much bull are you willing to consume? Luckily, there seem to be enough decent developers out there that you can still do a whole lot very efficiently on a smartphone without having to pay one cent for software. The problem is finding the devs and the apps that are decent. I'm not sure how...

Free Wifi Wireless Tether NO ROOT REQUIRED! via New APP FoxFi

Ok, I haven't used the app yet but it sounds like it just turns on the native wifi hotspot option, which is not free depending on your phone. Is this seriously what's going on here. Battery will get used quickly when doing this. That's normal. Huh? I don't get it. PDANet is for wired...

New study indicates that ads in apps cause 70% of battery drain

Smartphone software's key functions are often: 1) display ads 2) spy on the user for "data mining" What the app actually does is secondary for many devs. This is why I try to find apps that act responsibly. If it runs on boot for no good reason, doesn't stop running eventually after I'm done...

Free Wifi Wireless Tether NO ROOT REQUIRED! via New APP FoxFi

I am amazed because I thought this would always be impossible without rooting or paying for it. I bet that this is something that might be stopped by any future over the air stock OS updates.

    Droid 4 vs Droid 3

In my experience, the Droid 3 with extended battery lasts a loooong time. You'll have to wait for a Droid 4 MAXX or get a portable USB power supply to compete on that level. I have had more than one Droid 3 with a keyboard problem but my current one works great. Using it right now and as you...
