A text I deleted perhaps close to a month ago at this point continues to stream across the top of my screen every time I delete any text message.

I have deleted all text from this sender. I have tried draining my battery, turning off the phone and removing the battery to see if it was just cache. Nothing works.

NOTE: I cannot actually see this text within the text messages from the sender (and thus delete it) - only when it streams across the top of my screen.

My phone is an Incredible ADR6300
    Android version 2.3.4
    Build 4.08.605.2

I have never had this problem before.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try downloading the .apk file you'll find in that thread in your phone's browser. It'll give you something called hotfix, which basically clears backlogged text messages. This worked for me, all you have to do is download it, reboot, and run it from your applications. I had to reboot again after running it, but it should fix the problem.
