Are they worth the price? How well do they do? Range? Does anyone have first hand experience?
Qi wireless charging works by having the phone rest on a base. There is hardware in the phone that allows it to be charged this way and therefore the "range" is "0" because it has to be on that base to be charged.
From what I've heard it charges a bit slower than tradition wired USB, but it's more convenient.
I have a couple of different QI chargers that I am using with my Xperia Z3v - I did not like using the USB cord since the phone has the USB port protected by a flap. The phone chargers in adequate time. If you do get a charger, I would look at 3 coil chargers and ones that are in the stand position vs flat (if you plan to use your phone while it is charging)...
The tylt seems to be a really good all around 3 coil qi charger... Just throwing it out there...
Range is about 1/8 of an inch. Tylt is by far my favorite. I bought two of them for 35 bucks each couple years ago.
TYLT by FAR is the best, i have it for my Z3v and i have zero complaints, it charges fast enough for me and it stays on snug, AVOID the one by Sony, it's terrible, my phone was always sliding around on it, couldn't stay in the charging place long enough at all, total garbage.
Yep... Get the TYLT.... it just works. No fuss.
Tylt vu is what I have.. I love it..
