For some reason when I log into youtube with my account in the app it locks up. I can not do anything but exit the app. I cant get into my account or upload videos. The reason I put it here is because I am using ss4.4. I have noticed this happening since I started using ss. Chevy, your rom rocks and this is the only problem I have seen. Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks
    adam

I just tested it in BB and the app works fine. Very odd. For some reason your version of YouTube app is broken

Hi Adam - I am looking at youtube right now, logged into my account, playing vids - did you perform a wipe before installing 4.4?

    yup

definitely did a wipe, 3 or 4 times. It is odd that it would work in BB and not in yours. It actually has not worked in the past few versions of your rom. I log in from the first page that comes up and it just sits there. You cant scroll up or down or anything. Have to exit the app and then come back into it for it to work. Try to sign in again and it locks up.

i can use the app if i dont sign in.

Ya I don't get that either - so are you saying that if youtube links to a non-google account, it will not work? Just want to make sure of what is happening

    fix

So I had a youtube account with a regular login. Some how the account was linked to a non gmail email address of mine which I had never used with youtube before. It seems to have happened when they recently changed the site.I unlinked the email address and viola it worked again.

Hey guys. Similar issue but with h.264 decoding. I can't view any videos period when I updated to 4.4. I tried youtube app, m.youtube.com and used flash to play the video.

However its strange, I wiped 4 times, everything is working except for swype, the rstapps didn't save my email accounts (both not an issue) but when I went to quadrant score to calc my new numbers with 4.4 I can't get past h.264 decoder test. That's what made me think about youtube when it didn't play. Any help chevy? Maybe its posted somewhere else but I'm stuck at work with no internet access and full 3g speed.

Have you installed any other apps/ROMS/Kernels/patches that could have jacked up your build.prop? Incorrect settings in there could lead to your issue ...

Negative. my last update.zip file was the 4.4 ROM I flashed. none of my apps would have edited the decoder unless when i installed NFS Shift it did something to it.

OK, just to be sure, enter a terminal and enter:

    su
    rstprop

    Then try quadrant again
