Hey guys I've been noticing that when I use the mobile youtube site, every few days ill get a error message saying that a video can't be played. It usually won't go away untill I pull the battery. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if anyone has found a better way to fix it.

I have noticed this problem on my d2 but its with all types of media files, my ringtones don't even play. It would seem the only solution is to regularly restart your phone, say once a week.

I use the youtube app. Usually the "can't be played" error message is because of adult content warnings if you aren't signed in. I'm not saying 100% that's your problem, but it seems to be what happens to me a lot.

"Porn Star Dancing" comes to mind for a music video I tried to watch. :)

Lol good song. I'm always signed in but thanks anyways. I may have to start using the app again if this problem keeps up, though if I turn my phone off once a day it seems to get rid of the problem.

That's starting to sound like a cookie issue, to be honest. Not sure how you'd fix that without rebooting every day, so... Just reboot before bed or something. :)

Yeah I think I'll just have to do that from now on, or maybe start using the app. Thanks for your input everybody!

I have a similar problem, though I don't get an error message. YouTube locks up or quits streaming part way through videos almost anytime I use it. Pretty much ever since 2.2. Are others getting this as well?

Bump. Anyone know what's causing this? A similar problem to Pandora perhaps?

Possibly your cache is getting pretty full and it doesn't have enough buffer -- or the RAM is getting clogged. Are you rooted?
Not rooted, stock Droid 1. Running 2.2 of course:mad: (Updated my signature)

Where do I clear either of these? I reboot every day or 2, does this clear the RAM?
