I am basically re-posting someone else's post, I just wanted more up-to-date results. In your opinion, what is the fastest, most stable ROM that doesn't overheat to much. Post kernel along with the rom version and theme!...

    Thanks,
    GHallPS3

Not all phone are created equal. What works on your phone the best may work the worst on mine. I have tried a lot of roms and I like some better than others.
I won't suggest one cause I think they all have good qualities.

Although most people have the best luck with Chevy's and Slayher's kernels

You know I don't know which kennel I'm running. Most time I just use whatever comes with the rom.

    Yea I knew that.
I guess what I was saying was. My phone runs fast enough with whatever the Dev put in the rom without boosting it more.

Hence the words "your opinion" :p

I knew I would get that response, but I currently am just running UD 1.0.0 and I was looking for something different.

Has anyone heard anything about Dominator 3.0 lately?

I thought were not going to be able to run Gingerbread on Moto Droid 1.

For non-rooted users this may be true. The OG Droid will always get ports of new versions of android (to a point I'm sure)

Using ShadowROM with the GalaS theme, and it's running nicely. The few times I've used Onix Concept roms and was never disappointed by the speed..
